13 years after releasing his album Speak Nowthat included ‘Better Than Revenge’one of the most controversial songs that Taylor Swift had, the singer decided to change the lyrics with the relaunch of that material record label.

It was rumored that in ‘Better Than Revenge’, Taylor included phrases alluding to an actress, who would have been allegedly involved in his breakup at the time, although it was never confirmed who it was.

Now the singer, who will visit Mexico for the first time in August, premiered this July 7 Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)material with which he decided to make small changes to some of his songs.

After re-recording her third studio album, Taylor Swift decided to make changes to the lyrics of ‘Better Than Revenge’, a song that Swift herself admitted in 2014, was not entirely right, alluding to a couple of phrases.

Originally, in one part of the song you heard something like:

“She’s not a saint and she’s not what you think / She’s an actress, whoa / She’s best known for the things she does / in bed, whoa.”

However, this part of the song It was heavily criticized since its release. in 2010, both by music critics and by the audience at a time when the Internet was becoming more and more common.

According to the comments that were made about it, the lyrics were somewhat misogynistic and not very empathetic with another woman.

However, the singer decided to make changes to this part of ‘Better Than Revenge’taking advantage of the re-recording of his record material, and now the following is heard:

“He was a moth (approaching) the flame / She was holding the matches, whoa.”

With the above, the singer seeks a change of meaning in her song and transmit other ideas, because 13 years ago she had a different opinion, she once admitted.
